LocalStack
Jan 2025 — Present
Remote (Zürich, Switzerland)
Promoted to Senior DevRel in early 2025 after running the function as the first hire. Day-to-day work splits across technical content, documentation, partnerships, conference engineering, and AI-agent tooling.
- Published around fifty technical posts on the company blog with roughly 150K cumulative page views, including the AWS Marketplace listing, the Cloudflare Workers integration, "Introducing LocalStack for Snowflake", and "Building LocalStack with LocalStack".
- Drove 280+ documentation commits. Docs are now at 1M+ yearly page views with 100% feature coverage. Applied the Diátaxis framework, built the first tutorials section (32K+ views), added a real-time docs feedback feature, and led the migration from Hugo to Astro.
- Built and shipped the LocalStack MCP Server, which lets AI agents (Claude, Cursor, and others) deploy infrastructure, analyse logs, and manage LocalStack environments via natural language. Published on npm as
@localstack/localstack-mcp-server. - Integrated Kapa.ai into the docs and Slack community. It now autonomously answers around 3,000 community technical queries and noticeably reduced the load on support engineers.
- Built the LocalStack Dagger Module for CI/CD pipelines. Co-launched extensions for WireMock and TypeDB with partner teams.
- Built and maintain the LocalStack Developer Hub, a curated set of end-to-end cloud application samples with GitHub Actions CI that re-validates them against every LocalStack release.
- Led the go-to-market content for the LocalStack for Snowflake 1.0 launch, coordinating across engineering and marketing.
- Delivered enterprise workshops for accounts including SiriusXM. Produced AWS vs LocalStack benchmarks and demo content for the GTM and sales pipeline.
- Staffed the booth at AWS re:Invent (three years running) and Snowflake Summit. Gave talks and workshops at PyCon Africa (rated best tutorial), PyCon APAC, Python Web Conf, DockerCon, GitKon, Conf42, PyCon Poland, and Docker Bangalore.
