Resume

I'm a Senior Developer Relations Engineer at LocalStack, where my work sits between writing, engineering, and community: technical content, sample applications, integrations, conference talks, and the developer-facing surface of the product.

Profile

Engineer with a background that runs from open-source contribution work (Google Summer of Code, Google Season of Docs, internships at Quansight Labs, Nethermind, Economize, HackerRank) into full-time developer relations at LocalStack. Comfortable shipping code, writing technical content, building demo applications, and speaking at conferences. Current focus is on developer tooling for cloud development, AI agent integrations via MCP, and AWS-shaped serverless and cloud-native architectures.

Senior Developer Relations Engineer

LocalStack

Jan 2025Present

Remote (Zürich, Switzerland)

Promoted to Senior DevRel in early 2025 after running the function as the first hire. Day-to-day work splits across technical content, documentation, partnerships, conference engineering, and AI-agent tooling.

  • Published around fifty technical posts on the company blog with roughly 150K cumulative page views, including the AWS Marketplace listing, the Cloudflare Workers integration, "Introducing LocalStack for Snowflake", and "Building LocalStack with LocalStack".
  • Drove 280+ documentation commits. Docs are now at 1M+ yearly page views with 100% feature coverage. Applied the Diátaxis framework, built the first tutorials section (32K+ views), added a real-time docs feedback feature, and led the migration from Hugo to Astro.
  • Built and shipped the LocalStack MCP Server, which lets AI agents (Claude, Cursor, and others) deploy infrastructure, analyse logs, and manage LocalStack environments via natural language. Published on npm as @localstack/localstack-mcp-server.
  • Integrated Kapa.ai into the docs and Slack community. It now autonomously answers around 3,000 community technical queries and noticeably reduced the load on support engineers.
  • Built the LocalStack Dagger Module for CI/CD pipelines. Co-launched extensions for WireMock and TypeDB with partner teams.
  • Built and maintain the LocalStack Developer Hub, a curated set of end-to-end cloud application samples with GitHub Actions CI that re-validates them against every LocalStack release.
  • Led the go-to-market content for the LocalStack for Snowflake 1.0 launch, coordinating across engineering and marketing.
  • Delivered enterprise workshops for accounts including SiriusXM. Produced AWS vs LocalStack benchmarks and demo content for the GTM and sales pipeline.
  • Staffed the booth at AWS re:Invent (three years running) and Snowflake Summit. Gave talks and workshops at PyCon Africa (rated best tutorial), PyCon APAC, Python Web Conf, DockerCon, GitKon, Conf42, PyCon Poland, and Docker Bangalore.

Developer Relations Engineer

LocalStack

May 2022Dec 2024

Remote (Zürich, Switzerland)

Founding DevRel hire. Built the function from scratch: community platforms, marketing automation, newsletter, social channels, monthly webinars, conference presence, and outreach. LocalStack grew from a community-led open-source project to a Series A company over this period.

  • Primary DevRel liaison for every major release from v0.14.4 through v4.0, including the 1.0 GA. Prepared release notes, user-facing docs, social campaigns, and community engagement for each one.
  • Co-created the LocalStack Docker Desktop Extension for visual local cloud management. Scaled to 25,000+ active installs on the Docker Extensions Marketplace.
  • Architected the Serverless Quiz App and Swag Store demo (React, API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, CloudFront, deployed via AWS CDK). Both ran as live, interactive lead-generation demos at AWS re:Invent, driving 200+ demo sessions across the conference.
  • Led technical content partnerships with AWS, Docker, Cloudflare, LambdaTest, GitPod, and Shipyard.
  • Scaled the LocalStack Meetup group to 1,000+ members. Hosted monthly virtual events for two years and ran three in-person Cloud devXchange editions in Bangalore plus one in Chennai. Speakers came from Docker, Snowflake, Nasdaq, Google, and CockroachDB.
  • Implemented AWS service emulators inside the LocalStack codebase (Identity Store, Managed Blockchain, PCA, WAF, Elastic Transcoder, Pinpoint, Textract). Hardened the persistence test suite. Built the official setup-localstack GitHub Action.
  • Co-led the company blog migration to Astro with Algolia search, dynamic routing, and WebP optimisation. Hit Lighthouse SEO and Accessibility scores of 90+.
  • Started the email newsletter on a self-hosted Sendy on AWS, later migrated to HubSpot, and grew it past 6,150 subscribers. Grew LinkedIn from under 500 to 28,000+ followers and Twitter/X from under 300 to 3,200+.
  • Produced video content on LocalStack's YouTube channel, now at 30K+ views and 1K+ subscribers, covering product demos, feature walkthroughs, and conference recordings.
  • Built Grafana dashboards for DevRel metrics. Ran the first Hacktoberfest (21 contributions). Drove adoption of the Discuss Forum (60K+ views). Onboarded and mentored two DevRel engineers.
